What inspired you to become a dentist // periodontist?
I’ve known since I was little that I wanted to be in the healthcare field because of my dad. Dentistry gives me the ability to be artistic and innovative while still using my problem solving skills to diagnose. Being able to give patients their smiles back is the best inspiration every single day.
What aspect of your job do you find most fulfilling?
I am most fulfilled when I hear all the positive feedback about my staff. I have the best team that surrounds me with unconditional support and endless laughs. I also love to hear patients telling us that we have changed their minds about coming to the dentist.
How do you handle patients who are nervous or apprehensive about dental treatment?
We always encourage patients to be open and honest about their fears and apprehension. We talk through the parts of the procedures that they are most nervous about and always strive to find solutions to help accommodate. When talking doesn’t work there is always laughing gas and oral sedation to help.
How do you stay current with advancements and new technologies in dentistry?
I go to a number of CE courses and have wonderful colleagues that help keep the practice up to date. The staff puts in many training hours as well.
What specialties and areas of expertise do you bring to the practice?
I am a general dentist that specializes in crown and bridge and denture and partial work. We also help to facilitate any other specialty needs to make sure patient care is as seamless as possible.
